History of the country house

The country house, located at the Berguedà county was newly reconditioned trying to preserve its origins, traceable back to the 16th century.

el Grau, is a traditional agricultural farm estate with a land extension of 58 ha, located on a unique environment - 8 km from Berga (district head) - surrounded by nature, where quiet resting, forest walks, trekking, biking, mushroom picking, bird watching and a vast sort of nature related experiences may be enjoyed.

The Guesthouse, rests at the top of an elevation formed on a creek between two close by hills known as El Morral de Sobrestrada (The Horse collar of Sobrestrada) and El Pla de Rossinyol (The Rossinyol Plain). Those hills are gently sloped at the rear of the Guesthouse extending near like a plain through the La Serra dels Lladres which links them with the mountain range of Queralt (Serra de Queralt).

The views from the Guesthouse are amazing and contrasting, towards north stony mountains patched with green, towards south the relaxing plains of the lower Berguedà. On clear sky days, which are quite often, the mythic, for Catalonia, Montserrat massif and the Turò de l'home decorate the deep landscape view.
